An experienced, entertaining and motivating teacher, Monica Linville Laird is the leading workshop instructor in the Caribbean. She brings 30 years of painting experience to her classes, which are attended by students from around the Caribbean and the United States. (Including actress Jane Seymour, a passionate artist herself, who came to Monica for private tutoring) Keeping class size small enables the artist to practice hands-on teaching, giving personal time to each of her students.
A self-taught artist, Monica understands the importance of maintaining artistic individuality and style while at the same time emphasizing the necessity of mastering the basic elements of successful painting: drawing, composition and paint quality. Beginners leave her classes with a solid understanding of the process while intermediate and advanced students leave with a reinforced appreciation for the basics and the sense of freedom that this knowledge gives them.
Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States. No passport is required to travel to our island, the currency is the US Dollar and English is spoken as a second language.
